A new Data Quality Guideline, version 4.0, has been valid since 1 April 2018. This guideline aims to further improve product data quality. Achieving a higher data quality is the common goal of all distribution levels, which entails the active participation of all market partners of the HVAC industry. In order to further optimize the standardized electronic data interchange in the future, it is important for the industry, the trade, and the crafts to harmonize the existing standards and to specify the individual requirements of each distribution level. Moreover, the DQG 4.0 is supposed to meet the new requirements on product data, i.a. as regards the delivery and the verification of ETIM 7.0 characteristics. During a transitional period of six months, the ARGE members’ data will be verified according to two DQG versions.
